It's Film Night at Space to Breathe! On the occasion of Refugee Week, we are joining their Film Festival and screening the film Dreamers (2025). Written and directed by Joy Gharoro-Akpojotor and drawing on her own experience of claiming asylum in the UK, the film follows Isio, who is detained after fleeing from Nigeria. While awaiting her asylum decision, she meets her roommate, Farah. What begins as a friendship deepens into a love that is tender, hopeful, and set against the institutional walls of a removal centre. Discussion to follow!
